Kadri Aare is a self-taught Estonian artist who began painting in 2016 while living in Norway. She studied Interior Architecture at the Estonian Academy of Arts and now works in the same field. Painting, however, remains one of her closest and most personal pursuits. Kadri’s paintings are an expression of feelings and thoughts, where symbols from the subconscious play an important role. Each piece evolves during the creative process, guided by the emotions and feelings of the moment. Kadri doesn’t plan her paintings from start to finish, instead, she lets them develop and change, following her intuition. Her preferred medium is oil paint, drawn to its depth, texture and flexibility.
